In the past 5 years, the LA based registry that tally's how many music executives have been hired & fired reported that the music executives responsible for the talent scouting & development position(in short A&R) has recorded 319 total fired from the position.
So many are asking "how do i get signed?" Its very true.. There is not going to be a person who's going to walk you into a label after hearing your demo. The a&r's have become the dj's, the bloggers,the radio & last but not least the fans. Stop dreaming of a storyteller fantasy of being signed & get out & work.
