2011 proved to be a breakout year for 2 Chainz(formerly known as Tity Boi). After his performance at 106 & Party, 2 Chainz sat down with BET to discuss his power moves behind the scenes that will fuel his rise as a solo artist in 2012. After signing with longtime friend Ludacris's DTP label as half of rap duo Playaz Circle, the group made a big splash on the music radar with chart topper Duffle Bag Boy ft. Lil Wayne off their album Supply & Demand. After a few years of inactivity, Tity Boi reemerges on the seen as 2 Chainz as a solo artist in 2011. While the methods used by major labels to promote artist has not shown promising, 2 Chainz chose to release mixtapes & viral videos to rise through the ranks. This process has proved beneficial & as a result Ludacris recently appointed 2 Chainz as co-A&R for his up and coming album Ludaversal. 2 Chainz states" I gave Luda a few records for his latest mixtape 1.21 Gigawatts: Back To The FIRST Time. So you should expect something different from Luda."
