So many are asking "how do i get signed?" Its very true.. There is not going to be a person who's going to walk you into a label after hearing your demo. The a&r's have become the dj's, the bloggers,the radio & last but not least the fans. Stop dreaming of a storyteller fantasy of being signed & get out & work.
2011 proved to be a breakout year for 2 Chainz(formerly known as Tity Boi). After his performance at 106 & Party, 2 Chainz sat down with BET to discuss his power moves behind the scenes that will fuel his rise as a solo artist in 2012. After signing with longtime friend Ludacris's DTP label as half of rap duo Playaz Circle, the group made a big splash on the music radar with chart topper Duffle Bag Boy ft. Lil Wayne off their album Supply & Demand. After a few years of inactivity, Tity Boi reemerges on the seen as 2 Chainz as a solo artist in 2011. While the methods used by major labels to promote artist has not shown promising, 2 Chainz chose to release mixtapes & viral videos to rise through the ranks.
